Why we like it
Pinot Gris from 25 year old vines from South Australia’s Carey Gully. From here things take a sharp, but welcome, turn from the norm. Fermented in a concrete egg on its grape solids makes the wine more textural, luscious even.
This is a world away from a pinot gris your mum might whip out on a Friday arvo. This has big nectarine, peach and melon vibes with a great line of acid. It’s fuller bodied, almost honey like on the palate. Bewitching and beguiling. Definitely one to try if you like your wines left-of-centre.
