Why we like it
Highland Park distillery has been producing whisky since 1798 so it’s safe to say that they know a bit about Scotch. Matured in sherry seasoned oak casks, Highland Park 10 Year Old is a beautiful light caramel colour. 10 years of sitting in oak has mellowed this single malt out into a delectable dram.
There is a pleasant citrus aroma tempered by waves of vanilla (no doubt from the American oak), heather honey and aromatic peat smoke and it finishes long with a peppery, warming spiciness.
