Crafting wines from exceptional sites in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, Father and son winemaking duo,  Mike and Callum Garland, utilise sustainable practices and cultivate a deep connection with the land and the people who work it.

With a shared goal to have some fun with their winemaking and viticulture they make wines with a sense of place and fervor.

Mike draws on decades of experience in the Great Southern working at Plantagenet Wines, his own property Garland Wines, a stint in Germany where he fell in love with the Riesling grape using this experience on the Rhine River back in the Great Southern  further developing  the variety at Castelli and again back at Plantgenet.

Callum started his journey growing up on the family farm in Mount Barker, following Dad Mike between vineyard and winery. His first vintage was as a cellarhand in Denmark before venturing to Southern France where he garnered an appreciation for cool climate syrah.

Geelong and Lethbridge Wines followed  where he worked his way up to assistant winemaker and vineyard manager within 5 years. A 2 month stint in Burgundy called where he developed a true understanding of the influence of terroir. He returned full time to the Great Southern reuniting with Mike and expanding the Fervor brand since 2024,
